FEZTIVAL TUTORIAL

This is a tuorial explaining how to use the Feztival app. How to create events, how to invite guests and how to engage with your guests.

1. HOW TO CREATE AN EVENT

• Click the blue plus button in the bottom right corner
• Select the type of event and then fill out the event's information (name, address, date, time, etc).
• Click next and enable the relevant features & permissions (potluck, agenda, etc) over the next two pages
• Click Preview
• In the preview window, you can either upload your own photo theme ("upload theme") or click through and use existing themes using the blue arrows
• Once you are happy with your theme, click "Create"

Once your event is created, an event card for your event will be shown under the Upcoming tab.

Notes:

• Edit hosts can edit the event details and features any time by clicking the name of the event or the icon (i) on the event card.


• Potluck is the pot icon on the event card. Once the event is created, add items you would like your guests to bring. Guests can also add their own items under " Other Potluck Signups", created automatically. Any changes to the potluck items, your guests will be notified.


• Agenda is the bullet list icon on the event card. Once the event is created, you can add items or modify the agenda anytime. Any changes to the agenda the guest list will be notified (if your guests enable push notifications).


• Forward invites as a host, you can allow guests to invite others. If you enable this feature, by default each guest can invite up to 5 people. Click on 5 to change that number. Guests can then click the "person with plus sign" icon to invite their guests.


• Capacity Limit as a host, you can set a limit to thr number of number of RSVPs, first come first served. Once the number of RSVP's reach this limit, guests won't be able to RSVP yes, although they can still view the evnt. You can always change that number later on by editing the event.
Once guests accept your invite, you will be come friends, which enables you to invite them to future events with a single click.

2. HOW TO INVITE GUESTS

You have several options to invite guests. You can either invite them by using your phone contacts or by sharing an invitation link that has an access code for your guests to enter or scan in the app.

• Using your phone contacts: click the "add" button near each person you want to invite. Then click "send invites" in the bottom right corner. Feztival may take you to the texting app to send a group text to invite these guests to download Feztival.
  
  Once your guests sign up in the app, using the same phone number you invited them to, they will be automatically gain access to the event.
  Guests can then RSVP by clicking the blue envelop on the bottom left corner of the event card.
  
  Note: If a guest is already a Feztival user, by clicking Invite they will immediately be invited and a push notification is sent to them along with an email reminder about your event, if your guests don't reply within some time period. The email reminder is sent to only guests who verified their email in Feztival.
  
  Recommendation: We recommend that Feztival users enable push notifcations and verify their email so they won't miss out on future invitations. Feztival users can customize the type of notifcaions they want to recieve in the Feztival app settings (side menu).


• Sharing a link: Select "Share invitation link for quick access" option from the event menu (three dots). When prompted, choose the social media or messanging app (e.g., Text, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, etc) to share your event link. If you have a large event you want to advertise on social media; invite a group via email; or if you want to print a flyer that has the event QR code so people can scan to join, this is a great option for you.
  
  
• Sharing a link to specific friends on social media: you can also choose to invite specific friends on social media (e.g., WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook) using the same option above. To share to Facebook friends, select the Facebook messanging app to share the link to selected friends. You can do the same for Instagram and WhatsApp.

At any point, you can add more guests using the icon of the "person with a plus sign" in the bottom of your event card and/or share the link to more people. You can also uninvite guests at any time.

Important: The link will take them to the event preview page. Once your guests install Feztival or if they already have the app, clicking this link again will automatically invite them to your event and its private timeline. (Note that they also can scan or enter the QR code, specific to your event, included in your event link if they open the messaging apps in their computer.)
